Acne / Breakouts
DERMEXCEL™ BREAKOUTS TREATMENT STRATEGY:
1. In-pore exfoliation:
Correct in-pore exfoliation with Retinoids. It prevents exfoliated skin cells from sticking together by reducing the positive and negative charges that render the cells sticky. - Retinol serum and Acne repair serum.
2. Reduce bacteria and inflammation:
Reduce p-acnes bacteria with salicylic acid and aloe vera. The escalating incidence of antibiotic resistance is an important consideration when treating the bacterial aspect of acne. Research suggests that as many as 60% of acne patients exhibit antibiotic-resistant strains of P. acnes. (Simonart T, Dramaix M. Treatment of acne with topical antibiotics: lessons from clinical studies. J Dermatol. 2005;153:395.) - Pore Control wash; Acne repair serum and Daily Acne peel
3. Decongest pores:
Unclog pores with salicylic acid. It decongests pores by dissolving and extracting dirt, oil and cellular debris in the pores and follicles. Salicylic acid also disrupts cellular junctions to exfoliate dead skin cells. - Pore Control wash, Acne repair serum, and Daily Acne peel
4. Regulate sebum (oil): Regulate sebum (oil) production and secretion with Retinoid, Niacinamide and Zinc PCA.
- Retinol: decrease sebaceous gland activity - Retinol serum and Acne repair serum
- Niacinamide: Inhibit lipogenesis (formation of oil) - Retinol serum and Acne repair serum
- Zinc PCA: Decrease sebum secretion - Acne Repair serum
